Hilton Head Area Hospitality Association presents their annual FoodFest to be held September 10 – 16, 2007. Island residents and visitors are invited to sample selections from various restaurants and talented chefs from the area. The event has expanded from a one day five hour event to a multiple day food celebration. More than 13 events and activities are scheduled. Some of the events will begin at individual restaurants and others will take place at the festival’s central location of Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island. Events include; Best Bartenders Drink Making Contest, Hospitality Waiters Race, and the Tailgate Gourmet Challenge where local chefs and others perform their culinary expertise in the outdoor tailgate kitchen.
