*How do I decline travel insurance?
-Travel Insurance not only covers hurricanes, but also covers if you need to cancel due to a medical emergency, or death in the family. Also it covers if you have a medical emergency while on your vacation. When you get your rental agreement via e-mail, there is a line highlighted in the center of the page that states “If you wish to DECLINE travel insurance, please sign here”. Please be sure to sign on this line, since once travel insurance has been accepted it can not be reversed. * Is travel insurance taxable?
-No travel insurance is not taxable.
* What is the cancellation policy?
-The cancellation policy on villas is 60 days and 90 day for home. Outside of the 60/90 days, all cancellations are subjected to the $85.00 cancellation fee. Once inside the 60/90 days all cancellations forfeit their deposit of 40%.
* What is due at the time of reservation?
-We require a valid credit card at the time of reservation to guarantee the reservation and it is used in lieu of a security deposit.. We then e-mail you the rental agreement and at that time 40% of your balance is due 14 days from the time of reservation.
* Is the accidental damage plan optional?
- The accidental damage plan is not optional
* Is the accidental damage plan refundable?
- The accidental damage plan is not refundable
* What credit cards do we accept?
- We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
*How do I pick up my keys when the office is closed?
- We have a lock box by the front door of our office, your key packet is automatically placed in here at the close of business. With your rental agreement is the combination for after hour arrivals.
*Are linens and beach chairs provided with every rental?
- Every rental has all linens included, with exceptions of linens for rollways and beach towels. Beach chairs are not provided with any rentals.
* Is the pet fee refundable?
- The pet fee is not refundable
* Why is the cost of a pool/spa heat so expensive?
- Like everywhere else, Hilton Head also feels the effects of high cost of propane, but to make matters worse, propane needs to be transported onto the island raising the already high costs. Every time a pool & spa are heated, there is an additional charge.
* Can I check in early and/or stay late?
- We understand that you are anxious to start your vacation early and find it hard to leave, but to provide the quality service that you expect, both the cleaners and our inspectors do need time to service all rentals between guests. Our check in policy of 4 p.m. and check out of 10 a.m., is designed to give both the cleaners and our inspectors a chance to make your stay with us a memorable one. A late checkout or early check in may result in an additional charges.
* When can I rent for less than a week?
- You can rent less than a week at anytime from September through the middle of March. For all other times please contact our office.
* I see a price online but when I call to verify, the price I am quoted over the phone is higher. Why is this?
- The price that you see online is the rental fee only. When you call in, the reservationist is quoting you a price with all taxes and fees.
* How many towels are provided, per person, upon check in of our villa/home?
- There are 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth per person.
* What “amenities” are included in our villa/home upon check in?
- Generally, all units are supplied with the following:
- 1 small bar of soap per bathroom
- 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
- small bottle of dish detergent
- dishwasher detergent (enough for 1 load)
- laundry detergent (enough for 1 load)
- 2 dishtowels
- 1 dishcloth or sponge
* Is daily maid service included in our rental?
- Daily maid service in not included with your rental. If you would like this service, upon check in we supply you with your cleaners phone number, and you can set this up directly with them. You will also pay to them directly.
