Of the many festivals and special events that Hilton Head Island has to offer, few promise to be as nationally acclaimed as the upcoming 6th Annual Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival. The event takes place at The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn and the opening festivities are set for Saturday November 3rd at 9:00am. French for ‘Parade of excellence”, the Concours d’Elegance was born in Paris in the early 1900’s. First introduced to the American public in 1950 in Pebble Beach, the Concours name has grown to be synonymous with sophistication and class. Although dozens of shows have adopted the Concours name, only a select few are recognized or taken seriously in the industry. Over the past five years, The Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival and has become one of those select few and has made a name for itself among the motoring elite. (more…)
